As announced by Valve in Dota 2’s official blog, The International this year will take place at Rogers Arena, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The tournament this year will start from August 20th through Saturday, August 25t.
As rumored, and as mentioned in issue #1 of Buyback magazine, TI is moving to Canada this year. The northern country will welcome the Dota 2 community for the 8th edition of the tournament, which promises to be as good as ever! If you plan on going, here is some useful information you need to keep in mind:
“Tickets sales begin on Friday, March 23 at 10:00 AM and 10:00 PM PDT, with two ticket types available. The Midweek ticket—available for $125 CAD—will grant attendance to the first four days of the event, August 20th – 23rd. The Finals ticket—available for $250 CAD—will grant access to the last two days, August 24th and 25th.”
The change is bringing great news to many members of the community as accessing Canada is slightly easier than going to the USA and as we all know Canadians are popular with their politeness. On another account, this presents the opportunity to see some people on the events that are banned from entering the USA, like Bulldog:

With Virtus.Pro already securing their spot, we have high hopes that The International 8 will be nothing short of a great finale of the spectacle that is the Dota Pro Circuit so far!
